Vulkollan®: forming by machining

The possibilities for further processing – an economic advantage:

Turning The harder types of Vulkollan can be turned on a lathe using tool bits.

Milling Milling, facing or slotting is possible using the appropriate, ground milling cutters.

Drilling/boring Holes and elongated slots can be drilled and/or bored using the appropriate tools.

Sawing Band-saws and circular saws, as are usual in the woodworking industry, are suitable for sawing Vulkollan.

Grinding The surface of soft and hard Vulkollan formulas can be ground with corundum discs or diamond-impregnated grinding wheels.

Parting Rotationally symmetric parts can be parted off with a parting tool.

Cutting Adding oil to the cutting surface makes it easier to cut the material.

Punching Shaped parts can be produced with punching tools designed to suit the material thickness.
