STALASTIC bushes can be subject to radial, axial and torsional loads without the rubber moving with respect to the metal parts. It is possible for the axis of the inner tube to experience a slight cardanic effect with respect to the axis of the outer tube, or vice versa. However, depending on the rubber's thickness, hardness and length, the bushes are relatively rigid against cardanic forces.
The table shows the radial, axial and torsional loads permissible under continuous operation and under peak stress. The values shown apply to a highly elastic, particularly durable grade of rubber with a hardness of approx. 50 Shore A. |
