STALASTIC: Bushes made of rubber and metal, AS

STALASTIC AS-bushes are made using the same manufacturing process as the STALASTIC HL-bushes and therefore boast the same advantages in terms of fatigue resistance and load capability. In addition, the special design of the outer metal sleeve allows them to withstand larger axial forces without overloading the rubber. This characteristic makes them particularly suitable for use in joints subject to larger forces in the axial direction, e.g. in suspension wishbones (see illustration). It is not possible to give any generally applicable details regarding the spring constants under axial load because these depend on the mounting situation, especially the amount of pretension applied.

The table shows the radial, axial and torsional loads permissible under continuous operation and under peak stress. The values shown apply to a highly elastic, particularly durable durable grade of rubber with a hardness of approx. 50 Shore A.
