STALASTIC: Buffers made of rubber and metal

STALASTIC buffers are simple and inexpensive standard components for elastic mounting arrangements. They are used successfully in general mechanical engineering settings, in light engineering, in printing machine building, in pump engineering, in the electrical and electronics industry and in many other areas besides. The different designs (e.g. with threaded studs, welded-on nuts) mean that the right method of fixing can be found for almost any installation scenario.

Technical specifications:
STALASTIC buffers cater for a load spectrum ranging from 30N to 30kN, depending on the actual usage situation and the grade of rubber used.

Description:
STALASTIC buffers can be subject to compressive or shear forces, or even to compressive-shear forces if positioned at an angle. Buffers subject to compressive loads are particularly suitable for dealing with large forces and impacts thanks to their high stiffness. However, they are much more yielding to shear forces and therefore give good vibration insulation. STALASTIC buffers subject solely to shear forces will have better fatigue strength if they are pre-stressed with a compressive load. Where high, dynamic peak loads arise, the STALASTIC buffer with enlarged end plates is particularly suitable.
