They are used for elastic mounting arrangements in light and heavy engineering and in the automotive industry. The discs can be stacked together to form a spring packet and are frequently used as buffer elements in rail vehicles. They can also be used to make push-pull elements. These stacks can be assembled as required to give different spring constants and deflections.
